Review policy
Last updated October 2, 2026
Reviews help couples choose vendors they can trust. This page explains who can write one, what happens to it, and how to raise a concern.
Who can write a review
Only a wedding that has worked with the business can review it: the couple, or their planner, of a wedding that accepted a quote from the vendor through Medding, or whose booking Medding has verified. Each wedding writes one review per business and can edit it.
How reviews are moderated
Every new or edited review is checked by the Medding team before it appears. We approve reviews that are honest, relate to the service the couple received and follow this policy. We may reject or remove a review that is spam, abusive, discriminatory, shares private information, was not written by a real customer, or was written by or for the business itself. A review that is not published does not count towards the business's rating.
Paid placement does not buy reviews
A business cannot pay to change, hide or improve its reviews or its rating. Paid and featured listings are marked as sponsored and are moderated in exactly the same way as every other listing.
Replies from the business
The business can post one public reply to each published review, as plain text, and edit it later. A reply must follow the same rules as a review.
Reporting a review
Anyone signed in to Medding can report a published review that breaks this policy, with a reason. We look at every report. The person who reported is never shown to the business or to the reviewer.
What we show and keep
A review shows its star rating, its text and the business's reply, and not its author's name. We keep the author's account, wedding and the moderation record so that we can check and resolve concerns. You can ask for your data, or its deletion, at any time.
