Vendor Terms

These terms apply to businesses that are listed in, claim a listing in, or pay for a plan in the Medding vendor directory. They sit alongside the Terms of Service that apply to everyone who uses Medding.
Who may list, and claiming a listing
A listing may be created by Medding or requested by a business that offers wedding services. You may claim a listing only if you are authorised to act for that business. A claim is approved at once when the email address of your Medding account is the listing's contact email, and otherwise only after Medding has reviewed it. Each listing has one managing account, and each account manages one listing.
Accuracy and moderation
You are responsible for keeping your listing accurate, lawful and not misleading, including your prices, services and any claims about your business. Medding moderates the directory. We may hide, suspend or remove a listing, or remove a photo or text from it, that breaks these terms or the law, or that we reasonably believe could mislead couples. A suspended or removed listing is not shown in the directory and cannot receive new enquiries.
Reviews and reporting
Couples who have worked with you can review your business, and Medding checks each review before it appears. You cannot pay to change, hide or improve a review or your rating, and you must not write, or ask others to write, reviews of your own business. You can reply once to each published review, and report one that breaks the review policy.
Free and paid listings, and sponsored placement
Every listing is free to hold. A paid plan adds features such as a longer description, more photos and cities, and more contact channels. Featured placement shows a listing ahead of others in the searches it matches. It is always marked as sponsored placement in the directory, and it does not affect reviews, ratings or moderation.
Payment and renewal
Prices are shown before you pay and include VAT. A purchase buys one period of the plan or placement shown on the offer, for a fixed length of time, and is paid once through Stripe's secure checkout. It is not a subscription and renews only if you choose to buy again. If you renew while a period is still running, the new period starts when the current one ends, so no paid time is lost.
Refunds
If you ask within 14 days of paying, using the address under Contact, we will refund a plan or placement in full. After that, a payment is not refundable, except where the law says otherwise. This does not affect any statutory rights you have.
Your data, and couples' data
You are responsible for how you use the contact details and messages of couples who write to you through Medding. Use them only to answer their enquiry and to provide what they asked for, in line with data-protection law, and do not add them to marketing lists or share them with others. Medding processes your business and account details to run the directory and your plan, as set out in the Privacy Policy.
Enquiries and bookings
Reply to enquiries honestly and promptly, and keep your quotes accurate. Medding brings couples and businesses together, but it is not a party to any booking, contract or payment between you and a couple, and it does not guarantee that you will receive enquiries, bookings or any payment.
Ending a listing
You can hide your listing or stop managing it at any time. We may suspend or end a listing or account that breaks these terms, and we will tell you why where we can. When a listing ends, these terms stop applying to it, except for rights and duties that have already arisen.
